Are Malaysian degrees recognised internationally?+

Twinning and branch campus degrees from UK and Australian parent institutions are fully recognised — the degree is issued by the parent university, not the Malaysian campus. Malaysian domestic degrees are recognised in Malaysia and increasingly in international labour markets, particularly in Southeast Asia and the GCC.

How much does it cost to study in Malaysia from Nigeria?+

A realistic first-year budget for a mid-range private university is RM 45,000–70,000, covering tuition (RM 25,000–50,000) and living costs (RM 18,000–30,000).

Can I work while studying in Malaysia?+

Yes — up to 20 hours per week during term-time. Must be in the restaurant, retail, hotel, petrol station, or convenience store sectors only. Full-time work is permitted during official holidays.

Is Malaysia a pathway to permanent residency?+

Malaysia does not have a straightforward post-study immigration pathway to PR comparable to Canada or Australia. Most Nigerian students return home after graduation or use the Malaysia degree as a stepping stone to a Western postgraduate programme.
